Well to start off, I'm 24 years old, my passion is drawing, I love cars and vehicles, animated movies and digital arts! Cars have always been special to me and pretty much my whole family. I would fill whole A3 pages full of car drawings.

I studied 3 years of 3D Animation and now work in the awesome city of Cape Town, at a Visual Effects / Animation Studio.

I am a 3D Animator and have the great privilege of working on television adverts for around the world. We are slowly getting into the Movie business after a successful, job well done on Free Willy 4!

I work with extremely talented people which drives you to be your best and to constantly be learning new things from one another. Its an spectacular career to be in and with so many avenues to go into with 3D. Be it 3D animation of thousands of balloons taking a house and an old man to South America, modeling 'prawns' for a shanty town down in District 9, rendering gorgeous scenes of architectural marvels, transforming bumble-bee yellow Chevy Camero's into mammoth precision robots that battle Decepticons... to Industrial Design of appliances and furniture, just endless and exciting.

I've been working in the trade for nearly 3 years now and from all the 3D work I also enjoy doing 2D concept art and matte painting for up and coming jobs. My goal is to become guru at 3D animation and 2D illustration. I've been drawing since, well forever and there is always a pen and paper at my desk. Thats pretty much me in short.

Now the book, wow... that was such a fantastic opportunity. When John Bush and I sat down to discuss which story I was going to illustrate, I was just amazed at all these awesome stories with these wonderful characters that he had created. Each story with its own significant meaning through the trials and tribulations of these unique characters on their enchanting journeys.

What really stuck out for me was this story of The Baboon who went to the Moon. I could see the visuals straight away as I read through the story.

John also gave me such freedom with the story, he pretty much gave me the reigns and I went forth on my illustration adventure. Here is this baboon so determined to get to the moon, and boy does he try and try again and eventually he succeeds!

In contrast, I had just finished my High School, I was beginning the next chapter of my life, thinking about the future, studying; little fish in the big sea scenario. Trying to get to that Big Yellow Moon, to reach my goals. That's what I found so inspiring out of this little determined guy and hopefully what the little ones will do to after reading and enjoying this great adventure.

These stories are so true and are amazing for kids young and old, from 3 to 103 if I remember John saying :).
