Artist inspiration for the book

A wonderfully irreverent tale, I was so taken by the perfectly metered rhyming text, I could knot avoid putting a not in the giraffe's tale at the end of the tail. (Incidentally, our editor hadn't noticed the extra little knotty twist until the book was already in print!).

Bio

Growing up in the subtropical wilderness of South Africa from the age of nought, he was facisnated by the wildlife around him and began drawing the creatures from an early age. He also started cartooning and dreaming up stories instead of listening at school, eventually becoming a full-time, professional fantasier, now living in London, UK, at the fossilised age of 51, published in over 20 languages around the world, and still doing the same!
